Bestinvest founder picks Centennium House, EC3 for new company HQ

EQ Investors have taken 7,900 sq ft of offices in Centennium House in Lower Thames Street, London EC3.

The firm, run by John Spiers, the founder of Bestinvest, has taken a ten-year lease at £43/ sq ft and will use the new accommodation as its headquarters. The space will house EQ’s 45 staff. Hanover Green advised EQ.

Centennium House is a 63,000 sq ft office building refurbished to provide of category A offices. The building is located close to Lloyd’s of London and also provides views across the River Thames towards Southbank and London Bridge.

John Spiers, returned to wealth management last October following the buyout of Truestone. He has re-launched the business as EQ, which stands for emotional quotient. EQ will provide face-to-face advice for clients on Truestone’s books and will open a low-cost investment site named EQ Direct, which will be primarily online and open to those saving at least £1,000 a month.
