Restaurants and hospitality businesses across the UK were recently required by government to close for the foreseeable future due to the Coronavirus pandemic. While restaurants battle with closure, staffing and repositioning their offer to deal with delivery, we have seen some truly inspirational innovation and generosity from within the hospitality sector. With initiatives that include feeding frontline medical personnel, or giving free meals to children that received free lunches at now-closed schools.
Now more than ever it is time for brands to use social media channels to interact with their customer. Brands are actively devoting time to connect with their customers and listening to what is important to them. In the long term this will create increased loyalty which will help them get back on their feet when restrictions are relaxed.
