Thames Valley occupier attracted by high quality space at One Reading Central The high quality of One ReadingCentral, Kier Property and Invista’s new office building in Reading town centre, was the major factor in the recent letting to software company Pegasystems. Pegasystems had scoured the Thames Valley to find top quality offices where the firm could expand from its current base in the town. “it quickly became apparent that One Reading Central was top of the wish list”, says Kevin Hawthorn of joint letting agent Hanover Green. Dan Ryan, vice president real estate and facilities, said: “We wanted our new office to improve staff collaboration and to create a high quality environment for our staff and clients. “We considered a number of options in the Thames Valley market and One Reading Central offered a flexible and future proof solution.” Gillian Scarth, senior development manager at Kier, developer of ORC, said: “Throughout all stages of its development, One Reading Central has acknowledged the top requirements for corporate occupiers – proximity to a mainline rail station and large floor plates both being high on this list.” Only two floors remain available, totalling 41,560 sq ft on the first and second floors, which are being marketed by Hanover Green, DTZ and Lambert Smith Hampton.
