North London SME Hub Acquired for General Projects

On behalf of the General Projects & Waterfront Studios Limited Partnership, Hanover Green has advised on the purchase of 90,000 sq ft of former warehouse and factory spaces, 41 loft apartments and a 1.5-acre vacant development site in Harringay Warehouse District. The 3.5-acre site was acquired from a private family owner for £33.8m.

The developer plans to submit a planning application for London’s biggest hub for SME maker businesses. The plans would involve a 100,000 sq ft extension on the vacant land to double the size of the campus to create a cluster of more than 150 independent creative design and manufacturing businesses. The site houses Florentia Clothing Village, which was established more than 35 years ago as a hub for small businesses in the garment industry.

Michael Elliott acted for the seller.
