    Over 30 years’ experience in the property industry largely in London and the South East. Specialising in rent review and lease renewal negotiations, expert witness in arbitration, independent expert and court proceedings. Advising on leasing strategy including restructuring, lease surrender negotiations, disputes and dilapidations.

  • Career History

    Started in 1984 working for the PSA on the Government Estate before joining Baker Lorenz’s rent review team in 1986. Joined Hodnett Martin Smith in 1990 to form a lease advisory department. Following the sale of the company to DTZ in 2005, led their West End lease advisory team before jointly forming Hanover Green in 2009.

    Investment Consultancy / Rent Review - 20 Manchester Square, London W1
    Advised Invesco on the acquisition of the long leasehold interest and subsequently on the rent review of this landmark building of 70,000 sq ft.

    Rent Reviews and Lease Restructure - Cassini House, St James's Street, London SW1
    Advised F&C Commercial Property Holdings on a surrender of approximately 15,000 sq ft, comprehensive refurbishment of the building and reletting of approximately 30,000 sq ft on a 15 year lease.

    Rent Reviews - The Johnson Building, Hatton Garden, London EC1
    Advised Grey Advertising as tenant on their rent reviews on various leases covering approximately 60,000 sq ft over multiple floors.

    Rent Review - Wey House, Guildford
    Advised Columbia Threadneedle on a rent review on 46,000 sq ft at this prime Guildford office building.

    Rent Reviews - 26-28 Hammersmith Grove, London W6
    Advised Hermes Investment Management on various rent reviews over multiple floors totalling approximately 85,000 sq ft in a substantial west London office building.

    Rent Review – Watchmoor Park, Camberley
    Advised F&C Commercial Property Holdings on a rent review on this substantial self contained building of 64,000 sq ft.

    Rent Reviews – 40 Bruton Street, London W1
    Advised The Prudential Assurance Company on the office rent reviews totalling approximately 15,000 sq ft in this prime West End office building.

    Rent Reviews & Lease Restructuring – Centro, Camden Street, London NW1
    Advised Hugo Boss and French Connection on their respective rent reviews, subsequently restructuring their leases on 35,000 sq ft and 30,000 sq ft respectively.
