Centre of Excellence at Kings Hill

One of Europe’s leading heating technology manufacturers is establishing a Centre of Excellence at Kings Hill, the first for the company in the South East.

Vaillant Group has taken 11,500 sq ft in 6 Alexander Grove where its new centre will provide training facilities for engineers and showcase the company’s product range to customers and employees.

The state of the art Kings Hill Centre of Excellence will offer engineers dedicated Vaillant and Glow-worm practical product training in state of the art centres covering the company’s full system solutions. The centre will also provide a product showcase venue for all brands, regularly hosting customer events and meetings.

A family-owned company, Vaillant Group has been operating for over 135 years and is the largest manufacturer of heating technology in Europe. It pioneered the ‘combi’ boiler over 35 years ago and today leads the way in developing systems that use sustainable and renewable sources of energy.

The company, which employs over 850 people in the UK and exports to more than 60 countries, is establishing a series of Centres of Excellence in the UK as part of its strategic expansion and continued investment plan.

“We chose Kings Hill because it is a prestigious location which we feel reflects our leading position within our sector and is easily accessible to a wide range of our customers,” said Jim Moore, Northern Europe Regional Director and UK & Ireland Managing Director for Vaillant Group.

“We are at the forefront of renewable technology development and it is important that we are based on a development which reflects our sustainable ethos, which Kings Hill does.”

Hanover Green acted for the landlord.

Andrew Blevins, Managing Director of Kings Hill developer Liberty Property Trust UK Ltd, said: “We are delighted that Vaillant Group has chosen Kings Hill for its Centre of Excellence for the south-east, accessibility being key for its engineers and clients.”

Kings Hill is set in 800 acres near the county town of Maidstone and is just two miles from junction 4 of the M20. It was a former airfield and is now home to around 6,500 residents and more than 100 businesses employing some 5,000 people.

There is an 18 hole golf course; cricket pitch; David Lloyd Leisure centre; further recreation and sports amenities; schools and a village centre with shops including Waitrose; Costa Coffee; Domino’s and restaurants as well as a surgery, dry cleaners, shoe repairers, pharmacy and opticians.
