Occupier demand pushes West End office rents past £100 per sq ft
Mayfair’s office rents have topped the £100 per sq ft mark for the first time since the recession began three years ago.
Prupim is believed to have agreed a rent of more than £100 per sq ft for the top floor of its new development at 40 Bruton Street but the lease length and incentive package is not known at this stage. Private equity group, Rhone Capital is taking the space.
Sarah Porter of Hanover Green’s West End agency team, believes that “the rental level reflects the strong demand quality accommodation and will encourage landlords to toughen their negotiating position with occupiers”.
